バッドフィンガーの中心人物であった故・ピート・ハムが残した音源を整理したCD[セブン・パーク・アヴェニュー]に以下のようなライナーがあります。
『1990年にはアメリカのライノから、やはりワーナー時代の2枚と未発表の「ヘッド・ファースト」とジョーイ・モーランドとトム・エヴァンスの再結成「エァウェイブス」をコンビレーションした[ザ・ベスト・オブ・バッドフィンガー・ヴォリューム2]が発売された。日本人でもイギリス人でもアメリカ人でも、考えることは同じなのだ。このアルバムに関しては、「ヴォリューム1が出てないのに、ヴォリューム2っていうのは、おかしいよね。」とジョーイ・モーランドが笑っていたのを思い出す。』CDピート・ハム 松村雄策氏ライナーノーツより
…という一節ですが、本作は、アップル時代の4枚のアルバムが裁判などで全くCD再発のめどが立たない時代にせめてワーナー・ブラザース時代のベスト盤を作ろうという意思で誕生したバッドフィンガー最初のベスト盤CDです。まだ4人編成のラスト・レコーディングであった「ヘッド・ファースト」が幻の音源であった時代にそこからも選曲した米ライノ・レコードには頭の下がるおもいで聴いた方もいると思います。因みに5年後の1995年、待望のアップル時代の[THE BEST OF BADFINGER]が東芝EMIからリリースされ70年代からの長～い時間を待ち続け、バッドカンパニーのレコード棚を探索していた若者であったバッドフィンガー・ファンはそれなりの大人になりやっと最後のパズルを完成することが出来ました。…かく言う私もその一人でした。すでにピート・ハムもトム・エヴァンスもこの世にはおらず《パワーポップ》という言葉だけが残りました。
1曲目「KNOW ONE KNOWS」の間奏で日本人女性が日本語のセリフを喋るのが、元サディスティック・ミカ・バンドの加藤ミカさん。この時点ではレコーデイング・エンジニアのクリス・トーマス夫人。

英国の2つの番組をパッケージしたバッドフィンガーの伝記的映像集です。

のほうはTV出演シーンをノーカットで曲間にG/ジョーイ・モ－ランドとDr/マイク・ギボンズのインタビューを挟んでいます。画質は良くVHSからのコピーではなさそうです。完走する曲とバックで流れる曲目は下記の通りです。

のほうは当時の彼らを取り巻くガールフレンドやマネージャーそしてビートルズの面々との関係をまとめたTV出演シーンやインタビューで構成されたDVDです。曲は完走するものはありませんが、上記THE TRAGIC STORY～で使われていないプライベートな映像も多く名曲「WITHOUT YOU」の短い演奏シーンもあります。画像は前者ほど良くはありませんがほぼオリジナル映像と思います。二人のメンバーの死と最後はひとりになるジョーイがバッドフィンガーを名乗っての活動までという数奇な運命のグループをテンポよくまとめています。

is a DVD consisting of TV appearance scenes and interviews that summarize the relationships with the girlfriends, managers, and members of the Beatles who surrounded them at the time.
