2022年 テーラー東洋 SOUVENIR JACKET 「虎×JAPAN MAP」 「サテン×サテンキルト」リバーシブルスカジャン New です。
世界初の復刻となる1950年代前期の傑作。表面はカラフルな生地と色糸で構成された日本地図の柄。
通常のマップ柄より地名の表記が多く、当時の基地所在地や主要都市が刺繍されている。
リバーシブル面は本作のメインとなるプリントの虎柄で、1色ずつプリントの版を作り、手作業で摺り重ねる手捺染（ハンドプリント）によるもの。
想像を絶する手間と時間を要するため、当時の生産数もわずかで現存数が極めて少なく、ヴィンテージ市場では耳を疑う金額で取引されている。
2022年の干支に因んだ寅年限定スペシャルエディションの最後を飾るに相応しい絶品と言えるだろう。（カタログより）

“KOSHO & CO.” SPECIAL EDITION
テーラー東洋のコレクションの中でも特に厳選した逸品をディテールにこだわり再現するのが、このスペシャルエディション。
横振り刺繍で緻密に描かれた図案はもとより、アセテート生地の打ち込みを調整してヴィンテージと遜色なく仕上げ、ウールリブも旧式の横編み機を使用して1着ずつ編み上げている。
リバーシブル仕様のファスナーについても50年以上前のファスニング機械を再稼働させ、当時と同じ手曲げのものを再現。
テーラー東洋の前身である港商（こうしょう）商会のラベルを使い、ヴィンテージスカジャンの最盛期を彷彿とさせる仕上がりとなっている。

※従来ご愛用いただいている当社オリジナル・スーベニアジャケットは、洗濯による生地のスリップや色落ちに対応するため、50年代当時の生地よりもクオリティーをアップし、作製しておりますが、このコレクターズ・セレクションは当時と同じ規格で作られているため、生地の打ち込みが非常にあまく、デリケートに織られています。
染色も現在主流の反応染料ではなく、当時と同じ顔料染料で染められており、色も均一に染まらず、色ムラ、色落ち、色焼けによる褪色がおきやすい素材です。
ウールリブに関しても、当時と同じ規格で旧式の横編み機を使用し一着ずつ手作業で編んでおります。
このリブは縮みやすく、防虫加工のされていないウールリブですので取り扱いには注意が必要です。
中綿も黒綿（ウールのくず綿）ではなく綿100パーセントの白綿（布団用の綿）を使用しているため、洗濯などにより縮みやワタが落ちてたまることがあります。
以上のことから洗濯はお勧めできません。
※50年以上前のファスニング機械をこのジャケットの為に整備しなおし再稼働させ、当時と同じ手曲げのファスナーを再現しました。
現在のファスナーに比べ開発途上のファスナーでありファスナーテープも綿製ですので取り扱いにはご注意下さい。

A masterpiece from the early 1950s.
 A Japanese map artwork made up of the colorful fabrics and embroidery of beautifully colored threads. 
It has more city names of US bases of those days embroidered than other map artworks of Sukajan.
The reversible side has the tiger design as a main character of this jacket. 
Because it takes an unimaginable amount of time and effort, the number of jackets made at the time was very limited, the number of still-existing ones is extremely small.
 It can be said that it is a perfect jacket to culminate the last of the special edition serious for Year of the Tiger, which is associated with the 2022 Chinese zodiac.

“KOSHO & CO.” SPECIAL EDITION
The “Special Edition” collection is a superior version of Tailor Toyo Sukajan that is an absolute reproduction of vintage souvenir jackets originated in the early days of post WWII. 
The intricate artworks are depicted in details by the experienced craftsmen with the vintage embroidery machines.
 The 100% wool rib that is purposely knitted loose by the primitive knitting machine in the same manner the rib of vintage jackets was done. 
The zipper with two pullers meant for reversible jacket is duplicated by using the 50-year-old vintage fastener machines. 
The special jacket has a woven label of “Kosho & Co.” which is a predecessor company of Toyo Enterprise, all the details of the day built in.
